Tavistock appoints Joint Chief Executives

Tavistock, a leading corporate and financial communications consultancy, announces the appointment of Matt Ridsdale and Jos Simson as joint Chief Executive Officers. Both will continue with their client facing roles.

Commenting, Tavistock Chairman Jeremy Carey said: “I’m very pleased to announce the appointment of Matt and Jos, both of whom have been with the firm for a number of years and were already board colleagues. Since we founded the business more than twenty years ago, we have maintained a record of developing talent and promoting from within and these appointments reflect that ethos.”

He added, “As always, our primary focus is on our clients. I know Matt and Jos will be keen to build on our success to date and are committed to finding ways to do more for our clients and our team.”

Matt Ridsdale joined Tavistock in 2005 and its board in 2009. He has advised clients across a wide range of industries and last year led the team which advised Virgin Media on its $23.3bn sale to Liberty Global. Matt will continue to work with the firm’s corporate clients, high net worth individuals and on special situations.

Following the acquisition of Conduit PR by Tavistock in 2010, Jos joined Tavistock’s board and has since led its Natural Resources practice. He has a wide network of contacts in the industry and will continue his work with Tavistock’s clients in the Mining and Oil & Gas sectors, as well as taking on this broader role.
